I suppose you could say that, but clones don't mix well with idea of
@shadow files, which are supposed to allow access within Leo to files
that are created/altered outside of Leo.  In that context, clones do
not exist, so trying to make them work is a very minor issue.

Furthermore, cross-file clones are usually an anti-pattern, though
they do have their uses.
