Actually (yeah, it's ME suggesting this, all of sudden :-), it could be better to make the current QTextEdit work reliably and fast. It seems quite possible (according to my recent profiling), and has the added benefit that we can actually us it as rich text editor. Imagine the possibilities of being able to highlight parts of the text with underline & bold, and removing such annotations on tangle. That's something other editors can't do... -- Ville M.
