Fixed on the trunk at rev. 1252. All unit tests pass, with and w/o
the qt gui plugin.
The fix was to call initAfterLoad in c.new. Without this call, no
event handlers get hooked up at all. It was just (bad) luck that the
first thing I did with a new window was to paste an outline.
The several hours I spent on this bug were well worthwhile: the new
drawing code promises to fix several almost "subliminal" problems with
updating the tree. That's worth almost any amount of time to get
right.
