I strongly prefer to have body pane at the bottom of the screen on my
XP machine, and to have the body pane at the right on my Ubuntu
laptop. The difference involves the width of the screen and the
relative sizes of my text fonts.
This is surprising, at least to me. It shows that the preference
isn't just personal, it can also depend on the platform. Thus, the
setting::
@string initial_split_orientation
is a prime candidate for inclusion in myLeoSettings.leo.
