Python 3.0 final has just been released. I expect many people, including me, will now start to port their apps to Py3k now.
The present Leo code base should be compatible with Py3k syntax, with the possible exceptions of plugins. Iirc, I halted the porting project because Pmw has not been ported to Py3k. That should not be a problem with Qt. In short, it's time to finish Leo3k. I'll spend a day or to on this right now. That may be enough, at least when using the Qt gui. I'll then decide when (or if) to port the Pmw code in leo/extensions myself.
