Actually, the problem seems to be with the Delete key. It seems any
command bound to Delete, Ctrl-Delete, Alt-Delete, etc doesn't get
activated. I notice Alt-Delete is bound to backward-kill-word, but
when I hit alt-delete, nothing happens.
