Really, just run leo like this:

leo --gui=qt >/dev/null 2>&1

which stops leo dumping lots of lines of debug info to the console,
which XWindows renders in a nice anti-aliased font and scrolls, chewing
up CPU cycles all the while.

I realize this output will go away in time, but just noticed it's
really kicking performance in the, um, it's really degrading
performance.
