Maybe not excited, but having an @macro fooname [...@key=..] seems the Leo way to do it. In other editing environments (e.g. vim) macros make repetitive ops easy as Dunn points out. New users especially would, it seem, appreciate this common editor operation. Macros are the 'gateway' feature to anything more useful than e.g. MS Notepad. @macro nodes both expose their simplicity compared with Leo's capability and make tweaking such macros super easy.
