Yes, the bug should be fixed in the official b2 release. The only way to test it yourself now is to get the latest bzr code. I highly recommend taking the trouble to install Leo using bzr. You will be glad you did. You will never have to wait for official releases to get bug fixes: you'll get them as soon as they are posted to Leo's bzr repository.
