One step closer to easy availablity & world domination ;-) I created a ppa for leo, and it apparently succeeded. That is, the build machines at Ubuntu were able to build our source debs.
So far, this only works with Jaunty. Testers needed. Add these files to you /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/villemvainio/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/villemvainio/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main (yes, it's not under leo-editor team at the moment. We'll sort that out before final release) Then, run sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install leo And run "leo" from command prompt. I'm afraid this won't change the life of us "bzr pull"-ers much, but it will be a boon for more conservative users that want the "latest safe version" - that is, we can easily make a "micro-release" by just pushing the latest code to PPA, instead of requiring users to find the "sweet spot" themselves. The fact that Ubuntu ppa build machines were able to make the binary deb from our source deb is great milestone as well - it means we are not (optimistically) *that* far from getting leo to Ubuntu 'universe' repos at some point. -- Ville M.
