Hi everybody, I would like to know if anybody tried to come up with a setup script to determine what the local environment looks like. By environment, I mean platform, graphical toolkits, editors, and anything else that might be useful. It doesn't have to work for everybody in every situation, but maybe for the most common? And in cases where the script does not work, the person could (possibly) post to the mailing list, and then that issue could be fixed "forever". Doesn't that sound nice?
It would be wonderful if we could install Leo just by doing "python setup.py install". Really amazing. I am not an experienced programmer, and I am not familiar with Python's distutils module, but I would be willing to at least try to help with testing and documentation.
