My gvim is not in in a directory that is listed in my PATH environment variable. I don't launch Vim from a console window. Keep in mind that many users don't know how to add a directory to PATH in Windows, especially non-programmers. This is also an issue with using the "EDITOR" environment variable for Leo configuration.
