I am seeing some very serious problems with cached @file nodes. It looks like tnodeList attributes are not being saved and restored properly.
Writing @file nodes like @thin nodes won't solve the problem because files that were written in @file format must be read correctly. In other words, it looks like we must get caching working properly for @file nodes before we can attempt to phase them out.
