These involve calls to the 'unicode' function which exists only in Python 2.x. I'll fix this today if I can do so with confidence. Otherwise, I'll fix it after b3 is released tomorrow. Unless something truly unexpected happens, I'll confine any changes before b3 to plugins and distribution code.
