It would have been supremely embarrassing to have this bug in rc1. The fix is on the trunk at rev 2927. All unit tests pass, but it looks like we are missing a test called: @test save a new file... There may be other (minor) caching issues as well. I'll discuss them later, but they are not serious enough to delay either 4.7 rc1 or 4.7 final.
