This doesn't ring a bell for me, which means it is something I've never used yet. I can see a bookmarks.py module in the plugins directory and I'm assuming you talk about it. I am familiar with qttabs but I'm not using it because of a subtlety: not a drawback, a detail that is specific to my workflow.
