Somebody has finally explained the virtues of Leo, but he was explaining another product :-)
http://tasktop.com/videos/w-jax/kersten-keynote.html See also: http://www.tasktop.com/videos/mylyn/webcast-mylyn-3.0.html Apparently, the ee (enterprise edition) of Eclipse comes with mylyn already built in. It's quite hidden at first. You have to choose Window -> Show View -> Other -> Tasks and then either Task View or Task Repositories. Anyway, this is exciting. Mylyn's tasks are essentially identical to how I use task views, but with clones and other data organizing features such as clones and user- created organization in the actual source files. Otoh, mylyn tasks are really cool: they link to a whole bunch of other features, including collaborative features. Mylyn tasks are sharable, for instance. It's possible that mylyn is enough; it's also possible that Leo could add something to mylyn. In particular, it would be great if the user could organize methods as Leo does, so that all the helpers of a method appear as children. I'd like to discuss how mylyn tasks are represented: perhaps they could be extended to add Leonine organization. I'll likely be contacting Kersten et. al. in the near future.
