Not that I know of. I'm the last (not the orignal) author of cleo and I wrote and am maintaining todo.py. To me coloring nodes should either be done by the core or a different plug in - I've been thinking about one that colors nodes based on regex patterns - i.e. based on the content of the headline (and maybe body) rather than you explicitly telling it "color this node this color".
