I'll probably defer this for later, maybe much later.  Despite the
many cool features of Emacs, I am unlikely ever to enjoy working
there.  Leo is *much* better for what I do.

P.S. It took several hours to get org mode working in Emacs 22.3.1.
There appears to be a bug in org mode: if the .org file is loaded at
startup Emacs doesn't enter org mode as it should.  In that case it's
necessary to add the line::

     Title -*- mode: org; -*-

to the .org file.

P.P.S. pymacs works strangely, or not at all, on XEmacs, but seems to
work fine on Emacs 22.3.1.
