At present I am working on improving workflow:

1. Adding "@url built slide" and "@url working file" is an excellent
idea. Continuing this thought, instead of creating an @image node,
the plugin will create an "@url original screenshot" node and an "@url
final screenshot" node. This is very easy to do.

2. I had thought that the presence or absence of files would be a good
indication of whether to take a new screenshot. This was a bad guess:
it turns out to be annoying to have to delete files in order to force
a screenshot (or to take other actions, especially for testing).

Happily, the presence or absence of the various @url nodes will be
natural "flags" for the plugin. To force a new screenshot, just
delete the "@url original screenshot" node. Etc.

Such workflow improvements are just about essential. What is
tolerable when done once (deleting a file outside of Leo) becomes
unbearable when done a dozen times. Continuing this thought, the
plugin should do a "make html" in the in the folder for each
slideshow.

These kinds of improvements could be called the last level of
integration testing.

Edward

P.S. There are several bugs that are cropping up regarding
screenshots. Furthermore, Terry is probably right that the original
screenshot must be distinct from the final screenshot. So the plugins
isn't quite ready for prime time...
