Q1 : Can I use @url to display shorter name?
For example, when I have the long pdf link
file://localhost/Users/smcho/Desktop/noweb/nine/ver1/leo/noweb.pdf,
Can I just show "@url noweb.pdf" in the outline, but open the "file://
localhost/Users/smcho/Desktop/noweb/nine/ver1/leo/noweb.pdf" when
clicked?

Yes. I used @url before knowing about @bookmark, but the later makes what you want and makes the outline more easy to see and the node names more short. if you put @bookarm on a node all its descendants will be treated as links to files on the system or in the web and the first line of each node is the url in your hard disk or the web. Leo will open it when you make doble click on it. For editing just made one click.

Q2 : How to edit the outline with @url? I double click, but the pdf
file is just opened. I want to edit the outline.

Use @bookmark with single click :)

Cheers,

Offray
