This is the Rosetta Stone that decodes present US politics re Afghanistan, and offers a way for us to end the war. The book shows how hard it will be to oppose the military. The latest edition of Foreign Affairs is excellent: http://www.foreignaffairs.com/ The two articles about Afghanistan are quite a contrast. The "Plan B" article gives a perfect summary of the situation, though I disagree with the conclusions. The other is wishful thinking by a Bush official. The lead article about social networking is much better than I expected. Truly informative.
