Thank you Ville.
Yes, I use the Files > Recent Files mostly.
The reason I close most of the windows is a matter of ressources.
My PC is very old and slow (booting XP takes more than 5 minutes) and
my screen is small.
When working with LEO I keep only one .leo worsheet open.
That's why I was wondering if it was possible to start LEO without
opening the workbook.leo defaut but say my rahwork.leo
For your info, this is what is written in the Log pane when I begin:

============
Leo Log Window
Leo 4.8 final, build 3752, November 26, 2010
Python 2.7.0, qt version 4.7.1
Windows 5, 1, 2600, 2, Service Pack 3
leoID=rah (in C:\_RH_Exercises\.leo)
load dir: C:\_Leo-4.8\leo\core
global config dir: C:\_Leo-4.8\leo\config
home dir: C:\_RH_Exercises
reading settings in C:\_Leo-4.8\leo\config\leoSettings.leo
reading settings in C:\_RH_Exercises\.leo\myLeoSettings.leo
reading settings in C:\_RH_Exercises\.leo\workbook.leo
Exception loading Pmw module
reading: C:\_RH_Exercises\.leo\workbook.leo
=================================

By the way, I'm wondering the signification of "Exception loading Pmw
module".
This doens't appear when I open my rahwork.leo (where I'm exercising).

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Rene
