In addition to my long list of links to outlines in my 'main' Leo file, which I just keep in the tree under a @bookmarks node, I also have a short list using the new panel sized to just one line across the top of the body area, which links to currently hot outlines. One of those also has its own bookmarks line, which is mostly internal but includes links to a third outline which is in a different layout for editing XML. OT: the persistent layouts are turning out to be very useful, apart from the bookmark lines I have one for my ToDo file (shows the Task panel), one for editing RST with titles in the tree too long for normal layouts, and one for editing XML (shows the attrib_edit and backlinks panels).
