Rev 4444 of the trunk now contains the code merged from the
free_layout branch.
Here is the checkin log:

Merged free_layout branch, fixed several cacher problems, and added
safety code to viewrendered.update.
- Disabled scrolledmessage.py plugin in test.leo.
- Commands ctor now sets self.db = {}.
- Cacher methods now set g.app.db and c.db to {} when not caching.
- Cacher.clearCache now works on either PickleShare instances or
Python dictionariers.
- viewrendered.update method no longer assumes that w is valid.
It's not clear that this is enough.
All unit tests pass and Leo generally appears to work well.

I wouldn't be surprised if further niggling problems appear with the
free_layout and viewrendered plugins, but imo the proper place for
testing now is in the trunk.
Please report any problems immediately.
