I don't think the name is unimportant (i.e. bikeshedding, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkinson%27s_Law_of_Triviality). The name is important, the implementation (previous example vs. p.parents()) isn't really important as long as it works and is sufficiently fast. I think that's what Ville meant was bikeshedding.
