Incidentally I spent some time trying to fix that modality glitch with all sorts of combinations of window types and modality settings, never could get it. The settings which made the most sense, a window-modal frameless dialog with c.frame.top as parent, worked except that the autocompleter window wasn't getting keyboard events.
