Thanks for the clarification. Definitively I will look at leo-diff if
the proper context detonates this, but is nice to know that we have

Actually, however, what we need (and what we *have*) is leo-diff: A
long-ago Aha is that diffing .leo files is very easy. Indeed, that's
what the "Recovered Nodes" logic does. See also
leoEditCommands.compareLeoFiles. In fact, gnx's make comparing .leo
files *very* easy.
So, *within Leo*, comparing .leo files is dead easy. The challenge is
to export those smarts to the rest of the world.
