This works for me. Put the following in an @shortcuts node in an
@settings tree::
edit-headline = Ctrl-space
You must use modes to make bindings to plain keys. See
leoSettings.leo, the node::
@settings-->Keyboard shortcuts-->About modes
leoSettings.leo also contains a (disabled) set of vim bindings::
@settings-->Keyboard shortcuts-->About vim-like bindings
and::
@settings-->Keyboard shortcuts-->
@ignore Unused key bindings-->@keys Vim bindings
