Actually, the situation is more complicated than I first realized. As
of rev 4932, Leo does *not* change window sizes when using the qttabs
gui. Indeed, when using the qttabs gui, opening a new "window" simply
means creating a new tab: it would be quite wrong to change window
sizes when using tabs.
I've added a note in leoSettings.leo about this in the node::
@settings-->Window-->Options for new windows

P.S. The relevant code, DynamicWindow.setGeometry, now contains
comments so I should never again be confused about what should
happen...
