To my knowledge this is the first report of this kind of issue. I can't think of any explanation for this other than file permissions (but I don't understand very much about how Leo works either; my programming skills are very minimal). Have you tried creating a new .leo file from scratch and saving it? And does the log window have any warnings or error messages?
