I don't know that you'll find comparisons. Pelican is older and has a community. Acrylamid is newer, having followers but not a community as such. I chose it over pelican on the slim and somewhat dubious criteria of: I liked the presentation of the website better, a couple of references how to migrate from pelican, and that acrylamid updating of cache is faster (<1 sec vs several, c.f. http://posativ.org/acrylamid/idea.html#trivia). All in all it just seemed more approachable to me.
