The Open With menu items are supposed to open the selected node in an
external editor.  So if you select Open With Idle, Python's Idle debugger
does indeed open with the body text of the selected node sent to the
"editor".  For editors like Scite, this means that an unnamed file is
opened containing the contents of the Leo node.

Reading the group posts, I thought the openwith plugin is no longer needed

The File:Open With:Idle commands works as expected for me, but it looks
like I have modified the following node in leoSettings.leo in my copy of
myLeoSettings.leo::

   @settings-->Menus-->Open With menu

There may have been changes, in code or docs, since you asked your
question.  Please feel free to ask more questions.  I promise I'll answer
promptly this time.
