The quickstart tutorial in the the help menu is really too skinny.
I learned a great deal by poking around in the docs - the quickstart +
intro tutorial from the web page, but also these:

Also, we're kind of lazily working on a Leo tips blog here:
http://leo-editor.github.io/
As for a book... the docs are large, and the code is pervasive. I'm not
sure a book could cover all the salient topics.
Perhaps I'll write one some day...
