I generated scriptFile.py using Leo's execute-script command. Is that what you did?

I CTRL+B'd it.  I just tested again, and now it seems to work.

Potentially could have been executing the Import and Definition node rather than the parent node - as that would give the same result as seen above in the original report... perhaps both Fidel and I were being sloppy? Or maybe the new_write's unicode stuff fixes this corner case?
