Suppose I have a node:
@file Somefile.txt

Within that file I want a UNL reference link that points to a << Section >> reference to another location that might look like this:

C:\SomeWork.leo#@chapters-->@chapter Chapter One-->Node 1-->@file Another File.txt--><< Section >>

Leo throws an 'undefined section: << Section >>' error trying to save the @file Somefile.txt.

Is there a workaround for this?

According to this (http://leoeditor.com/directives.html#part-4-dangerous-directives) you can do something like:

@raw
@url C:\SomeWork.leo#@chapters-->@chapter Chapter One-->Node 1-->@file Another File.txt--><< Section >>
@end_raw

I imagine something like this would work as well:

@
@url C:\SomeWork.leo#@chapters-->@chapter Chapter One-->Node 1-->@file Another File.txt--><< Section >>
@c

Use with care, though.
