As long as it is possible, I would spare the noobies the traumatic 
experience of having to go leosettings, by delaying it as much as possible. 
It is always easy to traverse a mind-map you made, but it is a whole 
different thing to do that with one you didnt create. So no matter how easy 
it is, it will still be more difficult than the config option every other 
program has.

That is why I would suggest to create a (simple as possible) gui that would 
operate the leosettings file. We can even use the find-gui as a base for 
that new one.
And when the user clicks on "edit" then "settings", instead of being 
redirected to leosettings, he should be redirected to that gui.

The buttons of such gui should be able to change a few basic things from 
Leo without the user needing to edit any outline.

So, lets take body font size as an example:
A button from that gui could offer a size picking, then when picked, go 
find the leosettings node that has the font size of the body, and replace 
it with the new value.
Same for the few very important settings every noob wants to configure, or 
for the few settings we would like noobs to be able to access early on.
