There are many settings involved with dates. All the datenode settings
and:
@string headline_time_format_string = %m/%d
I would prefer not to change settings unless doing so is required or much
more convenient.
Changing settings always creates potential compatibility problems with
people who use these settings without making them permanent in
myLeoSettings.leo.
