Hi Edward,

I have leo_dark theme 1 working sucessfully under the old method. While not
changing my settings, I have been following discussions about the new
method of managing themes and finally decided to give it a try. I imagined
myself as a new user, do it correctly and avoid any prior knowledge.

Wow! Finding clear information on how to change themes is a really
difficult task.
Maybe CheatSheet.leo is not the preferred document but it does occur before
LeoDocs and Quickstart in the menus.
>From Help>open CheatSheet.leo it says:
'For documentation see node: "About this file" in leoSettings.leo.

- Key bindings:     @shortcuts
- Visual settings:  @data qt-gui-plugin-style-sheet'
- Enabling plugins: @enabled-plugins

In LeoSettings using Find command there is no text 'Enabling plugins' or
'Visual settings' in leoSettings.leo "About this file" or other nodes.
>From the short list only 'Key bindings' is found.

Next I tried find on '@data qt-gui-plugin-style-sheet'
This takes me to
About this file--> Basic setting nodes-->@font
'To set fonts in Leo's widgets, change Leo's master sytle sheet::
    @data qt-gui-plugin-style-sheet '
but this doesn't advise the location of the master style sheet. I
understand it is the node:
leoSettings.leo#@settings-->Qt Gui (appearance)-->@data
qt-gui-plugin-style-sheet
but there is no confirmation that this is THE master style sheet in the
body text.
Here the user is advised
"/*
    Important: this stylesheets is responsible for most, but *not* all, of
Leos appearance.
    See also settings in "Colorizer and colors"
*/"
but in settings there is no "Colorizer and colors" node.

I gave up and referred to an older discussion 'New configuration settings'
at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/leo-editor/TVC7WrdZ-fg
Here you advise: "I should point out a stellar new setting, discussed in
the upcoming 4.11.1 release notes, namely:
@data qt-gui-user-style-sheet"
If I open leo there is no reference to Release Notes anywhere in the menus.
At leoeditor.com there is no reference to Release Notes on the home page,
Documentation or if I use the Search field.

I will try LeoDocs and Quickstart to keep trying to get a clear
understanding of what to do, and where to go next :)
Please remember I was trying to be a first time user of the docs.

Regards
Lewis

PS I finally found Release Notes in LeoDocs.leo at '4.11.1 Release notes'.
