I know that the Hmm, the richtext pluging already uses this approach to run the CKEditor in a Leo window, saving the HTML edited in CKEditor in the Leo node body. But the format is all HTML (even the it's wysiwyg in the editor). There was a question in the docutils list just the other day about javascript wysiwyg editors that write rst. I don't think any were offered. But there might be a wiki out there with a wysiwyg editor which edits rst - there are certainly some which edit other rst like formats. Also maybe PanDoc could do something useful.
