Along these lines ...
When installing Ubuntu one is given the opportunity to
allow sending package usage data to Canonical.

This morning I fantasized Leo offering the choice to report
usage data to a db somewhere: plugins, options etc
Given the absurd embarrassment of riches Leo offers, such
a scheme would help devs focus on the popular stuff, learn
what might be best to stop supporting. And, a clue as to
who is using Leo how much when.

One wonders indeed.
