OK, so tomorrow I'll work on a unique package requiring python2-qt5, which if not possible (ie before Debian Jessie and Ubuntu Trusty) will fallback on python2-Qt4. It will require all the packages you mentioned, and will not care about recommended and suggested packages. Then the simplest way to distribute it will be to build a "trivial repository" just by uploading 3 files on your server (leo-editor_5.0_all.deb + Packages.gz + leo-editor.key) lets say on http://leoeditor.com/repository This way, all debian/ubuntu users will be able to get automatic upgrade by adding 'deb http://leoeditor.com/repository' to their /etc/apt/sources.list file. In my point of vue, this is the easyest solution for distributing Leo to debian/ubuntu users... before including Leo in official debian packages ;)
