That's very strange, leo didn't install anything on /usr/ folder but only on /sw. Why does it want to touch anything in it ! That's a chance it didn't remove anything on usr ! I need seriously to have a look into it ! Concerning the procedure, it was only useful at the beginning, when requirements were not satisfied (qt, pyqt & co).
