I have Leo 4.10 running on my Windows 7 box, but haven't used it

and possibly making Leo my standard Python IDE, replacing Emacs +

So, can I just download the latest 5.x and install it, or do I

If you used the Windows installer to install Leo, I would suggest uninstalling it first.

Thanks much, Ed; that worked fine. I did have a moment of confusion, though, with installing 5.0. When I got to the SourceForge page (http://sourceforge.net/projects/leo/files/Leo/), I saw "Looking for the latest version? Download Leo-5.0-final.zip (8.6 MB)" prominently displayed, so I did as it said.

After fussing with the zip file trying to figure the best way to get Leo installed, I went back to the page and saw, a bit further down, the link to the 5.0-final folder, which contains both the .zip file and the executable installer (LeoSetup-5.0-final.exe). I downloaded the latter, and it installed with no problem.

Suggestion: if possible, change "Looking for the latest version?" to point to the .exe file. Also, if the .zip file would be better for some purposes, clarify when you'd use that versus the .exe.

One more question: would it be useful for me to report on my progress in integrating Leo into my workflow, emphasizing issues, problems, things I've learned, etc.? I don't want to add a bunch of noise to this group, but as a software developer myself, I know that user feedback can be quite valuable. (If appropriate, I could do the reporting on the leo-editor-users Google group.)

Again, thanks for a very promising product.

Don
