Leo will continue to support @shadow and @auto for the foreseeable future, but I can think of no reason to use them now that Leo can update @nosent nodes automatically.
Please let me know immediately if you know of any reason to prefer @auto or @shadow. I'll soon revise all of Leo's documentation to emphasize @file and @nosent. This will help newbies a lot. Eventually, after we all have much more experience with the new @nosent, @auto and @shadow may become deprecated synonyms for @nosent.
