Leo will support @auto and @shadow for the foreseeable future.  
Nevertheless, I highly recommend that you convert to @nosent asap.  This 
will help me by revealing any lingering problems with the new @nosent.  
Here are the advantages to you:

@nosent reads files significantly faster than @auto and unlike @auto 
preserves clone links and uAs.  There is no need for @persistence trees 
with @nosent.

@nosent writes files significantly faster than @shadow and does not pollute 
your hard drive with .leo_shadow directories.

True, @nosent saves a copy of all @nosent trees in the .leo file, but this 
is unlikely to cause any real problems.  And such .leo trees could even be 
useful by encapsulating all the data.
