START: GIS gobbledegook QGis somehow fails to read the projection information from a .tif even though gdalinfo can read it, so I'm thinking there must be an easy way to create a separate world file for the the .tif END: GIS gobbledegook
The solution, from Matt Wilkie :-) is here: http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/14545/how-to-generate-world-files-for-raster-x Which leads here: https://code.google.com/p/maphew/source/browse/gis/o4w_extras/bin/gdal-makeworld.py It was a bit disorienting, I thought I'd clicked the wrong link, seeing those Leo sentinels there :-) Cheers -Terry -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
