I recently discovered a piece of software and after rummaging through its
forums I found that the developer self-identified the software as
"productivity software" and I was surprised. I am referring to the file
manager, XYplorer Free Edition (windows only). A file manager, productivity
software? I suppose so! If that's the case then Leo is certainly
"productivity software".

I do about half of my work on Linux and half of my work on windows. On
Linux I use the command line interface (CLI) for file management almost
exclusively and I have many fancy aliases and functions for the CLI that
improve my productivity greatly, but I'm sure I've only scratched the
surface. However, I'm embarrassed to say that I've been using windows
explorer almost exclusively all of my life before I started using XYplorer.

It took me a good half day to get it set up the way I wanted and learn
about it's more obvious features but I'm excited that it's already saving
me time and my four hours of initial investment should be well worth it. So
much so that I felt others might also benefit from it!

In addition to Leo and XYplorer I also make extensive use of AutoHotKey to
enable a very advanced home row computing environment. I'd be willing to
share my .ahk file with anyone interested. Ask me how long it's been since
I've touched the escape or backspace key on my windows machine. These have
been replaced with Capslock+Q and Capslock+F respectively. I can't begin to
describe how ingrained home row computing has become in my workflow and how
much more fluid it makes everything I do.

Anyway, I'd be interested in what other "productivity software" people use
and how it's changed their computing lives.
