I agree that Leo abbreviations are one of if not the most powerful 
"snippet" implementations I've ever seen. 

I also just learned about @outline-data tree-abbreviations which can 
actually insert whole nodes and subtrees!

I've pushed for abbreviations to be more on by default but I backed off 
with Edward and Terry citing (legitimate) security concerns. With great 
power comes great responsibility I guess. Hiding that power just a little 
bit seems... necessary.
