I expect to be back in Madison later today. Rebecca and I are in Monticello, Illinois, staying in the mansion of the Allerton Gardens <http://allerton.illinois.edu/>. The gardens are one of my favorite places in the world. Nothing anywhere else even approximates the sun singer and the foo dogs.
Last night we slept in room 5, Robert Allerton's own bedroom. I am typing this in one of the huge public rooms. I played an in-tune, gorgeous Steinway 7-foot grand for over an hour last night.
